FAQ
What does a pair of eyeglasses cost?
The price of eyeglasses varies greatly, depending on the cost of the frame selected and the cost of the lenses and lens treatments chosen to meet your vision needs. At Bronze Optical, eyeglasses range from approximately $125 on the low end to several times that amount.
How long does it take to get a pair of eyeglasses?
Eyeglasses can be ready in as little as two days to as much as 10 days, depending on the particulars. Complex prescriptions and certain lens features require more time. We leave the fabricating of your eyeglasses to laboratory professionals. Our specialty is proper frame fit, size, style, and lens measurements. At Bronze Optical, we promise to take more than an hour making your glasses!
Do you have a “buy one, get one” special?
Yes. When you purchase two pairs of eyeglasses for the same person within a 30-day period, you get $100 off the second pair. This second-pair discount may be combined with the use of insurance on the first pair.
What sales are you running now?
Please see our special offers! And here’s another good deal: When two individuals order eyeglasses at the same time, the second person gets $80 off. Bring a friend, family member, or co-worker! Insurance benefits may be used toward the first person’s eyeglasses, but the $80 discount for the second person may not be combined with any other discount or insurance.
My frame is broken. Can you put my lenses into a new frame?
If your lenses are in good condition, there is no reason not to get more use out of them. We are happy to supply you with a new frame for your existing lenses if we have one that they fit into. If modification of lens shape is necessary, you would need to be without your glasses for at least a day.
Can I get new lenses put into a frame I already have?
Absolutely. We are not interested in seeing you spend more money on a frame if you already have one. We will inspect your frame and make new lenses if it is in reusable condition.
What forms of insurance do you take?
We accept a number of vision insurance plans. Please see our insurance page for specific information.
I’m allergic to nickel. Do you have any metal frames I could wear?
Yes. You have choices of either surgical quality stainless steel or titanium. Also, there are frame styles with metal fronts and plastic temples that may increase your options.
What is the value of working with an optician who is certified by the American Board of Opticianry?
Since there is no state licensure of opticians in Wisconsin, many individuals selling eyeglasses lack even a basic understanding of optical principles. After some quick sales training, they are selling glasses. Consulting with an ABO-certified optician minimizes the risk of a bad eyewear experience. I schedule each client for a 50-minute, no-obligation consultation at no additional charge. This ensures that we each have time to get all of our questions answered.
